'Game of Thrones' fans petition to remake season 8

Twitter

More than 600,000 people have shared their disappointment in the final season of HBO's "Game of Thrones", signing an online petition to remake it.

It accuses the show's writers David Benioff and DB Weiss of being "woefully incompetent" as they have "no source material to fall back on", alluding to George RR Martin's unfinished books.

Many have expressed disappointment at rushed plot twists and unfaithful character graphs.

“We watched it for more than eight years and in the end that’s what we get?” wrote a petitioner, demanding a remake with "competent writers".
