Abu Dhabi has launched a new research and development authority.
The regulatory body's rule will be to guide and oversee research and development in the UAE's capital.
The five new institutes under it include areas of studies like biotechnology, food security and artificial intelligence.
The Abu Dhabi Research and Development Authority (ADRDA) is part of Ghadan 21, which is a AED 50 billion package of economic reforms that was announced last year.
