BlackBerry has announced that it will exit the Pakistan market due to restrictions imposed on its services. The Canadian smartphone maker says it has failed to reach a compromise with Pakistan’s telecommunications authority. The issue is said to center around BlackBerry’s encryption of users’ emails, BBM messages and other data. Pakistan’s government wanted the ability to monitor all BlackBerry Enterprise Service traffic in the country, for security reasons.
