The Gulf region is on track to achieving its smart-city goals, with Dubai, Doha and Abu Dhabi being prime examples. That’s according to the technology firm Honeywell’s latest survey of over 600 buildings across seven major cities in the GCC. Overall, the region’s airports and hotels are leading the way with smart building technologies, while high-rise residences and educational facilities score the lowest.
