H.H. Sheikh Hamdan issues tourist camp resolution

WAM

New rules are coming into force to regulate tourist camps in Dubai.

A resolution has been issued by the Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

It aims to reinforce the Emirate's status as a global holiday destination.

The Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing is the sole entity responsible for regulating standards and issuing permits.

The rules will establish occupancy limits, controls on the location of camps, obligations to customers as well as adherence to health, safety and security measures.

Operators who fail to comply could face fines of up to AED 50,000 and lose their licence.
