UAE capital markets reflect strong performance in first 9 months of 2026

The UAE financial markets have recorded strong performance during the first nine months of 2026, with number of companies licensed by Capital Market Authority rising 43 per cent and the combined market capitalisation of ADX and DFM touching AED 3.7 trillion.

In a post on the social media platform X, the UAE Government added that the total traded value touched AED 408 billion. The records showed that nearly half of all trading comes from foreign investors, reflecting growing international confidence in the UAE’s markets.

Meanwhile, the authority reported 94 per cent growth in the number of local investment funds, reaching 97 funds.

It also showcased a 30 per cent growth in assets under management in local investment funds compared with the same period last year.

The capital markets also received 102 virtual assets registered for admission to trading, and AED 576 billion in bond and sukuk issuances.

The authority added that the result is due to an agile, advanced regulatory environment that puts transparency and investor protection first and keeps pace with the tools of the future, from investment funds to virtual assets.
