Abu Dhabi's Crown Prince His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and South Korean President Lee Jae-myung have attended a high-level roundtable aimed at boosting economic cooperation between the UAE and South Korea.
The meeting, organised by the Ministry of Foreign Trade, the Abu Dhabi Chamber, and the Federation of Korean Industries, brought together ministers, senior officials and major industry representatives from both countries.
Sheikh Khaled welcomed President Lee and reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to partnerships that drive sustainable growth and shared prosperity.
Discussions focused on expanding trade and investment ties and building on the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement signed in May 2024.
The UAE encouraged Korean companies to tap into its competitive investment climate — particularly within the rapidly expanding industrial sector, which is being transformed under the Operation 300bn strategy.
The event also included a series of bilateral meetings between Emirati and Korean firms to support sector-specific partnerships.
Non-oil trade between the UAE and South Korea continues to grow steadily, reaching $6.6 billion in 2024, an increase of 11.4 per cent compared to 2023.
The momentum continued into the first half of 2025, with trade reaching $3.14 billion.
