The UAE has been picked to manage the .arab and .عرب domain names project in both English and Arabic. The General Authority for Regulating the Telecommunications Sector (TRA) will be in charge of the management and execution of the top level domains. This is expected to increase the number of websites and online services in Arabic and provide more online content for Arab-speaking users. The TRA will be responsible for operating the domain names on behalf of the Arab League.
