An Indian court has acquitted Bollywood star Salman Khan of shooting and killing endangered animals. The incident is alleged to have taken place nearly twenty years ago. Fifty-year-old Khan was accused of killing a gazelle and two protected antelopes in Rajasthan in 1998 – along with a group of other people. The actor, who's appeared in more than 80 movies, had challenged the decision by a lower court which had sentenced him to five years in jail. In clearing him of the charges, High Court Judge Nirmaljit Kaur, decided the shots did not come from his weapon. . The celebrity was not present for the ruling.
