Emirati-Yemeni music star Balqees Fathi has found an elite spot at Dubai's Madame Tussauds, becoming the first Arab celebrity to unveil her wax figure.
During the official ceremony held at Bluewaters Island, the singer said she felt "privileged" to be given the honour.
In a statement, the Madame Tussauds said sculptors travelled to Dubai to document 500 of Fathi's precise measurements, before getting to work back in London. They spent three months crafting the figure by hand and even inserting real hair, strand by strand.
Madame Tussads will open in Bluewaters later this year, with over 60 global stars, including 16 brand new figures from the Middle East.
