Legendary Egyptian actor Omar Sharif’s final film was a dedication to children. That’s according to Ahmed Salim, the Director and Producer of “1001 Inventions”, which is premiering tonight at the 12th edition of the Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF). The movie tells the story of famous scientific thinker Ibn Al Haytham, known for his great contributions in the field of optics. Salim says Sharif came out of retirement to make this film before he passed away in July. He shares another reason why the movie icon was drawn to the project.
