Scottish actor Sam Heughan has been revealed as James Bond fans' top pick to take over from Daniel Craig.

The Outlander star beat big names including Tom Hardy, Henry Cavill, Elba and Tom Hiddleston in a poll for RadioTimes.com.

He got almost 80,000 votes from all across the globe, making 30 per cent of the total vote.

Interestingly, Heughan had auditioned to play Bond in 2006’s Casino Royale, but lost out to Craig.

Recently, Craig had insisted the delayed No Time To Die will be his final Bond film.
