Rapper Kanye West has created quite a buzz on the internet after announcing his decision to run for president of the United States in the November election.
"We must now realise the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States," West wrote along with the hashtag "#2020VISION".
It wasn't clear if West had already filed any official paperwork for the state election ballots, with many people online questioning if it's a mere publicity stunt.
Meanwhile, Elon Musk, the chief executive of electric-car maker Tesla, backed West's decision.
"You have my full support," he wrote on Twitter.
