At least two people were killed and 25 others swept away on Sunday after a bridge collapsed over the Indrayani river in the western Indian city of Pune.
According to local media, at least 32 people have sustained injuries, of whom six are critical.
Police and disaster relief workers, including the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), have reached the spot to help in rescue efforts.
Kundmala is a popular tourist destination that sees huge number of visitors during the monsoons, local media said, adding that the incident happened when scores of tourists were on the bridge.
In a post on social media channel X, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said a search is being carried out "on war footing".
The bridge collapse comes as an orange alert remains in place for Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad, with heavy rain forecasted for the region.
