A 5.9 magnitude earthquake struck Tajikistan on Saturday, killing five people.
According to the Tajik emergency situations committee, the epicentre of the quake was 165 km northeast of the capital city of Dushanbe.
It was at a depth of 40 km and was also about 153 km south east of Khujand, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said.
