Ashleigh Barty has reached the semi-finals of the Australian Open for the first time.
The world No. 1 overcame seventh seed Petra Kvitova 7-6 (8-6), 6-2 in a rematch of their quarter-final last year.
Barty is the first Australian to make the tournament's semi-finals since Wendy Turnbull in 1984.
She will play American 14th seed Sofia Kenin on Thursday for a spot in the final.
Kenin earlier strolled past Tunisia's Ons Jabeur 6-4, 6-4.
