Barcelona's hope of retaining the Champions League are over, after they lost their quarter-final tie against Atletico Madrid. Luis Enrique's side had won the first leg 2-1 at the Camp Nou, but saw their advantage wiped out by Antoine Griezmann, who converted Saul's cross in the 36th minute of the return leg at the Vicente Calderon. The French forward then confirmed Atleti's place in the semi-finals with a late penalty, after Andres Iniesta was judged to have handled the ball. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich are through to the last four, after following up their 1-0 win over Benfica in the first leg, with a 2-2 draw in Portugal. The five-time winners fell behind when Raul Jimenez headed home for the hosts. However, goals from Arturo Vidal and Thomas Muller gave the German's a comfortable away-goal cushion, before Talisca curled in a consolation free-kick for Benfica. Atletico and Bayern join Manchester City and Real Madrid in the draw for the semi-finals, which takes place on Friday.
