The Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) is searching for a new venue having settled its disputes with the Victorian government.
Rising costs caused the Australian state to pull out of its bid to hold the 2026 event, leaving the Games without a host.
The CGF received a sum of £190 million (AED 877,412,209) from the Victorian government.
The state had planned on hosting the 12-day event but financial estimates, which surpassed the planned budgets caused the U-turn.
The CGF are now said to be fully focused on finding the new venue.
