De Minaur pulls out of Djokovic quarter-final with injury

Alex De Minaur pulled out of his Wimbledon quarter-final against second seed Novak Djokovic due to a hip injury, the Australian ninth seed said on Wednesday.

De Minaur sustained the injury at the end of his 6-2 6-4 4-6 6-3 fourth-round victory over Frenchman Arthur Fils on Monday.

The 25-year-old had previously reached two Grand Slam quarter-finals, losing to Dominic Thiem at the 2020 US Open and Alexander Zverev at the French Open this year.
