Dubai Basketball will now play its ABA League semi-final series against Budućnost VOLI in Bosnia and Herzegovina, instead of Dubai, following a change of venue decision.

The club, the ABA League, and Budućnost VOLI reached the agreement after a series of meetings in recent days, with the games set to take place in Zenica.

Organisers say the first match, originally scheduled for May 20 at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai, will now be played on Thursday, May 21 at 6:00 PM at the Arena Husejin Smajlović.

The change comes in light of recent geopolitical developments in the region. Dubai Basketball says it worked with all parties to try to keep the series in the UAE, but a relocation was ultimately agreed.

Following the games on May 21 and May 25, and May 28 if a third game is necessary, the team will return to Dubai.

The club says it regrets not being able to play in front of its home fans, and will continue efforts to bring future matches back to the city, in anticipation of its potential qualification for the finals.
