The Surrey all-rounder dislocated his thumb while fielding in a County match against Lancashire and will be assessed in the coming days. Ansari is part of England's 16-man squad for the three-Test series against Pakistan, which begins on October 13. They arrive in the UAE on September 30th and will play two warm up matches in Sharjah. Alex Hales comes in for Adam Lyth, who’s been dropped after struggling for form during the Ashes win. Meanwhile, Joe Root, who was rested for the limited overs series against Australia, will be involved in all three formats of the game during the tour.
