Roger Federer has received a walkover to the finals of the BNP Paribas Open.
It comes after Rafael Nadal withdrew from their semi-final clash with a right knee injury.
The Spaniard had received treatment during his quarter-final win over Karen Khachanov on Friday.
Federer will now face Dominic Thiem in Sunday's finale after the Austrian beat Canada's Milos Raonic in a three-set epic.
Sad we couldn’t face off in another epic matchup, but hopefully we have a few more to come. Get better soon Rafa. #Fedal pic.twitter.com/56wGwWjEGt
