India begin World Twenty20 campaign against New Zealand

The heavyweights of international cricket begin their World Twenty20 campaigns today. The Super 10 phase kicks off in Nagpur with hosts India taking on New Zealand (6pm). India head into the clash as the world’s top-ranked team, with seven consecutive wins, but they’re yet to beat the Kiwis in the T20 format. They have drawn alongside Australia, Pakistan and Bangladesh in Group 2, while Group 1 includes England, South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies and Afghanistan. Only two sides from each group can progress to the semi-finals, so an early defeat could prove costly.
