Jordan has defeated the UAE with a score of 2-1 during the first round of Group C matches in the Arab Cup on Wednesday at Al Bayt Stadium in Doha, Qatar.
With this result, Jordan earned its first three points for the start of the championship.
The UAE will play next against Egypt on Saturday, December 6 at 10:30 pm, followed by a game with their Kuwaiti counterpart on December 9.
Meanwhile, Iraq earned three points after defeating Bahrain with a score of 2-1 during the Group D matched at Stadium 974 in Doha, Qatar.
Algeria and Sudan also played to a goalless draw at the Ahmed bin Ali Stadium as part of Group D, earning the team each one point.
