Sharjah Ruler rewards UAE President's Cup winning team with AED 10 million

His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has rewarded the Sharjah Football Club team with AED 10 million for winning the UAE President's Cup.

During a special ceremony held at the Al Badi' Palace on Sunday, Sheikh Sultan honoured the team for winning the cup for the tenth time in the club's history, and for the second time in a row.

The team won the title through a penalty shootout against Al Ain Club last Friday at the Mohamed bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

The Sharjah ruler also praised the contribution of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, and Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, President of the UAE Football Association (UAEFA).

For their part, the team from Sharjah Club expressed their gratitude for the honour.
