Local sides Kalba Club and Khorfakkan Club are both set to benefit from the plans which will see two stadiums located between 850 to 900 feet above sea level.
The stadiums are being built in mountainous areas to benefit from cooler temperatures and lower humidity levels, which are believed to positively influence the performance of players during matches.
In an announcement, His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, the Ruler of Sharjah praised the performance of Sharjah's football clubs in the ADNOC Pro League.
His Highness also emphasised the significance of club emblems representing their towns, highlighting the importance of preserving cultural heritage.
