Four people have been detained in the UAE capital while attempting to sell 573,000 captagon pills in the country.
Abu Dhabi Police launched operation 'Watchful Eyes' after receiving a tip-off about how the gang was planning to "promote the narcotic substances in different emirates", with one member operating from outside the country.
Colonel Tahir Ghraib Al Dhaheri, director of the Anti-Narcotics Directorate, Criminal Security Sector, said all the gang members were caught at the same time and the captagon pills seized.
The men, from Asia, will now face legal action.
