Eight residents have been honoured by the Ras Al Khaimah Police for helping them in the search and rescue operations of stranded trekkers.
General Abdullah Khamis Al-Hadidi, Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al-Khaimah Police, said the men helped track missing trekkers while they explored the mountainous Ghalila region of the Emirate.
He applauded their "absolute sense of social responsibility and their humanitarian side to help all members of the community".
