Authorities in Abu Dhabi are stepping up efforts to enhance fire safety measures at wedding halls and venues.
The Civil Defence has launched a campaign to ensure organisers and event planning companies are complying with the rules.
They must ensure the availability of firefighting systems and first aid kits at venues, and avoid using flammable decorative materials.
All emergency exits must remain open during events and the venue must not exceed its maximum capacity.
Employees are also required to be trained in evacuation measures.
