The UAE has confirmed 2,730 new cases of COVID-19 from 127,572 tests.
Another 4,452 people have received the all-clear, taking the overall recovery tally to 281,410.
Meanwhile, nine more patients have died, bringing the total number of fatalities to 859.
A total of 306,339 cases have been diagnosed in the UAE so far, out of which 24,070 are currently active.
Dubai’s beaches, parks reopen as weather improves

Some flights operating at Dubai International (DXB) and Dubai World Central – Al Maktoum International (DWC) were cancelled or delayed on Friday due to adverse weather conditions.

Dubai Police has deployed a number of patrols, while Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has positioned more than 2,000 staff to respond to any emergencies due to the unstable weather conditions.
Dubai private schools to shorten Friday hours from January
Starting January 9, all private schools and early childhood centres in Dubai will end classes on Fridays no later than 11:30 am.
