Emirates Airline has suspended passenger flights from India until further notice.
The Dubai-based carrier made the announcement in a travel update on its website.
It also said that passengers who have transited through India in the last 14 days will not be accepted to travel from any other point to the UAE.
"UAE Nationals, holders of UAE Golden Visas and members of diplomatic missions who comply with the revised published COVID‑19 protocols are exempt and may be accepted to travel," the airline added.
The suspension of passenger services from India to the UAE initially came into effect on April 24 (from 11:59 pm).
On Thursday, the UAE prohibited its citizens from travelling to those countries from where the UAE government banned entry from recently as part of COVID-19 precautionary measures.
