A doctor in Dubai says she would like to meet the police officer who gave her a salute as she was on her way home from duty.
Dr. Ayesha Sultana said she was driving from Dubai to Sharjah on the E11 at 1am on Tuesday when the officer stopped her.
She explained that she was a doctor who just finished her shift, and instead of asking for an ID card, he gave her a salute.
Sultana, who works at one of the Dubai Health Authority's screening centres, said she was moved to tears, adding that it was the biggest day of her life as a UAE resident.
The doctor's Tweet about her experience has gone viral:
I'm driving back home at 1am during curfew hours, got stopped by @DubaiPoliceHQ
