Dubai hurtling towards automated driving tests

Monday, 15 July 2019 19:56

Dubai is one step closer to 'automated' driving tests.

The RTA says its ‘smart track’ system has been successfully trialled for the first time.

Those looking to get a driver's license will be soon be tested with sensors and cameras, with the data sent through to an instructor.

It's the latest step aimed at making the testing process for new motorists completely automated.

That means technology could come to your rescue if you feel you've been wrongly failed.

We have started the test-run of the ‘Smart Track’ system for testing applicants of driving licenses in Dubai. The successful trial took place today at one of RTA’s drivers testing centres. For more details, visit: https://t.co/SbbbYqP4lh pic.twitter.com/HhqYiKY00K
