The government of Dubai will be implementing a five-point strategy to turn the Emirate into a disability friendly city by 2020. That's according to officials at the Executive Council of Dubai, who will also be introducing a database for people with disabilities by 2017. The database will help develop policies and services aimed at integrating disabled people into society. The strategy, which will be a partnership between the Dubai government, non-governmental organisations and disabled people, will focus on health, inclusive education, inclusive employment, infrastructure and social protection.
