Global Village will remain closed to the public on Sunday due to "adverse weather conditions and high winds".

In a statement on Twitter, the management said it took the decision "in coordination with the National Center of Meteorology" to ensure "the safety and wellbeing of all Global Village’s guests and teams" at the site.

The multi-cultural festival park will reopen on Monday at 4:00 pm.

According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), rain is forecast for northern and eastern areas and western islands, with chances of thunder and hail storms in some parts.
