Some flights operating at Dubai International (DXB) and Dubai World Central – Al Maktoum International (DWC) were cancelled or delayed on Friday due to adverse weather conditions.
In an update, Dubai Airports urged travellers to check with the airlines for the latest updates before heading to the airport.
"There is water accumulation on some roads. Please allow extra time for your journey. If possible, use the metro," their statement added.
Emirates airline also reported disruption to its services on December 18 and 19, with "some flights being cancelled, delayed and retimed".
The airline said the decisions were made keeping passenger safety in mind.

In a statement sent to ARN News, flydubai confirmed that "select flights (were) cancelled, delayed or diverted" on December 18.
The airline advised passengers to "visit flydubai.com for the latest updates" and said they "are working closely with all relevant stakeholders to ensure our customers reach their final destinations as soon as possible during this busy travel period".
