The UAE's 'Community Solidarity Fund Against COVID-19' has received a AED 10 million boost.
The amount has been contributed by Emirates Islamic, part of the Emirates NBD Group.
It's the first Dubai financial institution to extend its support to the Fund, which was recently launched by Dubai's Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD).
The initiative aims to facilitate community contributions and donations towards combatting the pandemic under the guidance of the UAE’s leadership.
"These unified national efforts aim to provide medical and economic assistance to members of our community who are most in need during this challenging time," said Hesham Abdulla Al Qassim, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Emirates NBD Group and Chairman of Emirates Islamic.
