Emirates to operate over 100 flights on March 5 and 6

Dubai's Emirates Airline has announced it will operate over 100 flights on March 5 and 6 from Dubai and return to "carry people eager to reach their final destinations, as well as essential cargo like perishables and pharmaceuticals" following the "partial reopening of regional airspace".

In a statement sent to ARN News, Emirates spokesperson said confirmed "it is currently operating a reduced flight schedule until further notice".

"For March 5 and 6, over 100 flights will depart from Dubai and return," the airline added.

Emirates said the reduced flights are open for booking with priority given to customers with earlier bookings.

"Customers transiting in Dubai will only be accepted for travel if their connecting flight is operating," the update on its website said.

The airline said it will "continue to gradually build back its flying schedule, subject to airspace availability and all operational requirements being met", adding that "safety is always our top priority".

Passengers are reminded not to proceed to the airport unless they have a confirmed booking.

The Dubai carrier "urged all customers to check emirates.com and our official social media channels..  for latest updates".
