Flydubai says its focus remains on supporting affected passengers and crew while authorities investigate the safety incident involving flight FZ1073.
In a statement, flydubai Chief Executive Officer Ghaith Al Ghaith confirmed that all 172 passengers and crew aboard the Dubai to Tel Aviv flight are safe and being cared for, including the captain, who has returned to the UAE after receiving medical clearance.
Al Ghaith praised the captain, the pilots who secured and safely landed the aircraft, and the cabin crew.
He also thanked passengers who assisted the crew during a challenging situation.
The CEO expressed gratitude to Saudi authorities for their swift response following the diversion of the flight to Tabuk, as well as to UAE authorities and other stakeholders for helping passengers and crew reach their final destinations.
The airline has temporarily suspended flights to Tel Aviv at the request of authorities, while teams continue assisting affected passengers.
Addressing questions surrounding the incident, Al Ghaith said a full official investigation is being led by the relevant authorities with the support of flydubai, stressing the importance of allowing the process to establish the facts.
He reiterated that safety remains the airline's highest priority and said flydubai is grateful that everyone on board FZ1073 is safe.
