It’s business as usual at Dubai Mall despite heavy rains causing water leakages at the shopping centre on Sunday.

In a Tweet, the Dubai Media Office said that only limited areas of the mall had been affected.

It confirmed that the shops remained open and staff were working towards resolving the issue.

"Please be assured that the safety of mall visitors, staff and tenants remains our utmost priority," said Dubai Mall's developer, Emaar, in a statement to ARN News.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has predicted that unsettled weather conditions will continue for the next few days.
