New Indian website to simplify consulate-expat connect

Screen grab from the Global Pravasi Rishta portal

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has urged members of the Indian community in the UAE to register on the Global Pravasi Rishta portal.

According to reports, the portal will help facilitate communication between the Indian Consulate and/or Embassy to over 3 million Indians residing in the UAE.

Registered members will receive emergency alerts, advisories, and real-time updates on Embassy activities and Indian government schemes.

The portal is expected to connect a large, global Indian diaspora of over 30 million non-residing Indians, enabling efficient problem solving across the community.
