A series of traffic accidents led to Abu Dhabi police closing the Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Road (E11) in several places between KIZAD and Dubai Parks and Resorts, with all northbound traffic diverted to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Road (E311).
Dubai Police urged caution saying the traffic congestion and obstruction on Sheikh Zayed Road (E11) was a result of a fire in a heavy vehicle accident near Dubai Parks in the direction of Sharjah.
Northbound traffic from Dubai to Sharjah was also diverted to Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (E311) and Emirates Rd (E611).
