A new competition will award photographers, both professional and amateurs, who brilliantly capture the UAE’s cultural landscape through the country's majestic Grand Mosques.
Unveiled by the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre, the first edition of the "Dhay" photography competition will focus on the theme 'reflection'.
Participants must submit images of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosques in Abu Dhabi and Fujairah, or the Sheikh Khalifa Grand Mosques in Al Ain and Ras Al Khaimah to stand a chance to win the top prize of AED 5,000.
The second winner will take home AED 3,000, while the third will get AED 1,000.
Images can be captured either through cameras or mobile phones, organisers said, adding that it's an extension to the centre's internationally acclaimed “Spaces of Light” Award.
Submissions are open until November 30, with further details on the process available at the centre's official website.
