Visitors to Al Ain will be treated to a series of interactive performances and live traditional competitions. According to national news agency WAM, a daily programme of events aimed at enlivening generations-old handicrafts will take place as part of the Traditional Handicrafts Festival. It’s part of an initiative to highlight Emirati heritage, and strengthen national identity. The event begins on October 29, and runs until November 7.
