Fire in Dubai hotel leaves two dead

Two people have died in a hotel fire in Dubai in the early hours of Saturday morning.

It's believed the two individuals died from smoke inhalation, the Dubai Media Office reported.

Dubai Civil Defense teams arrived on-site within six minutes at the hotel in Dubai's Naif area, working quickly to extinguish the fire and evacuate the building.

The General Directorate of Civil Defense expressed heartfelt condolences to the victims' families.
