The UAE is the number one shopping destination in the GCC. That’s according to a Knight Frank report, which highlights the country’s highly evolving retail market. The UAE retail sector has responded to the Emirates' growing population with a focus on niche community centres, as well as expansion projects for established malls such as Mall of the Emirates and Dubai Mall, the report said. Furthermore, with the global economy declining many international retailers are looking into opening their next shop in the UAE due to the country’s economic resilience.
