UAE offers visa-on-arrival to nationals of 6 new countries

The UAE has expanded its visa on arrival scheme to nationals of Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Kenya, and South Africa.

Those with ordinary passports are eligible as long as they have valid residence permits from the US, EU, UK, Singapore, Japan, Korea, Australia, New Zealand, or Canada.

The fees for 14-day stay will be AED 100, while it will cost AED 250 for 60-day stay.

It will come into effect from June 25.

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) added that the 14-day visa may be extended once while the holder is in the UAE, whereas the 60-day visa is issued for a single stay and can't be extended.

Once the visa expires, travellers are required to depart the country, failure to which will see a daily, overstay fine of AED50.

The move reflects the UAE’s commitment to facilitating travel and further strengthening its position as a global destination for tourism, business, and investment.
