The UAE has announced plans to invest 40 billion euros in Germany, targeting key sectors including industry, advanced technology, artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure and energy.

The announcement comes during UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s state visit to Germany and marks a major expansion of the economic partnership between the two countries.

Of the total investment, 10 billion euros will be allocated to projects in the German state of Bavaria.

The investment will bring together Germany’s industrial, technological and research capabilities with the UAE’s investment expertise and capacity to support major projects and accelerate their growth.

It is expected to create new opportunities for companies and institutions in both countries, while encouraging greater cooperation, knowledge-sharing and the exchange of skills and expertise.

For the UAE, closer cooperation with Germany will strengthen its investment presence in one of Europe’s leading industrial and technology economies, while providing access to expertise in sectors that support its knowledge- and innovation-driven economy.

The investment is also aimed at supporting future industries and technologies, strengthening competitiveness and laying the foundations for long-term economic growth.

Overall, the 40-billion-euro commitment is being positioned as a strategic investment in the future of UAE-Germany relations, combining the strengths of both countries to support innovation, sustainable growth and industries of the future.
