The UAE government and the World Health Organisation (WHO) have joined forces to "build a comprehensive global healthcare system".
Under the new initiative, the WHO will adopt the UAE government accelerators model to ensure easier and quicker accessibility to healthcare for all.
They will work to support the implementation of the WHO Work Programme 2019–2023, and achieve the Triple Billion targets, which align with WHO's efforts to help countries deliver 17 interlinked global goals designed to be a "blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all".
The launch came through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, along with Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of WHO.
