Abu Dhabi Public Prosecution has ordered the imprisonment of a woman who is accused of posting an offensive video on social media.
The authority took action against the Arab national after the post went viral on online platforms.
Prosecutors said the video is likely to incite hate speech and "constitutes an affront to men and domestic workers in violation of general customs and ethics".
As per Article 7 of Federal Decree-Law No. 2 of 2015 On Combating Discrimination and Hatred, any person, who commits an act involving hate speech shall be jailed for at least five years and/ or fined between AED 500,000 and AED 1 million.
